KF Legal: the return on investment in DirectCase is clearly positive.
Law firm KF Legal adopted DirectCase as a standard working tool in the first half of 2025.
We introduced DirectCase as a standard working tool at the firm in the first half of 2025. After a short onboarding session, it became a natural part of our research work and the preparation of legal opinions. We appreciated that no implementation or complex setup was required. The system worked immediately after registration and was usable from day one.
Considerably more comfortable work than traditional search
Compared to traditional searching by statute or commentary, working with DirectCase is substantially more comfortable, because a single query returns a large number of judgments. The model understands the context of the question and offers case law that ordinary searches might miss. We appreciate this most in less standard matters where a keyword or direct citation is hard to identify.
A standard working tool for the whole team
Some team members use DirectCase daily; others occasionally, depending on their caseload. For those who handle litigation or analytical research, it has become a standard tool. In internal communication we often share links to case law directly from DirectCase, which simplifies our work.
Quickly finding key decisions
DirectCase almost always finds the relevant judgment if the query is sufficiently specific. We always verify the AI's interpretation — no model yet replaces an experienced lawyer. As a signpost for quickly finding key decisions, however, it works very well.
Time savings and a positive return on investment
We see the greatest benefit in time savings, as DirectCase saves us time that we can then devote to the case in a form that AI cannot provide.
From the firm management's perspective, the return on investment in DirectCase is therefore clearly positive.
